Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci, often hailed as the "Prince of Prints", was a visionary Italian designer whose vibrant patterns and fluid silhouettes defined the jet-set glamour of the 1960s. From the slopes of Zermatt to the beaches of Capri, his stretch silk jersey dresses and ski suits became symbols of liberated elegance. Worn by icons like Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Jackie Kennedy, Pucci’s creations captured a spirit of movement and joy.

A former Olympic skier and WWII pilot, Pucci opened his first boutique in Capri, near the famous Canzone del Mare. His cosmic-inspired prints even reached NASA, when his designs were unofficially linked to the Apollo 15 mission. After Emilio’s passing, his daughter Laudomia Pucci continued to develop the house's legacy, collaborating with designers such as Christian Lacroix, Matthew Williamson, and Peter Dundas—each bringing their own twist to the Pucci heritage.

Today, vintage Pucci is more desirable than ever, celebrated for its psychedelic colors, swirling motifs, and the effortless sensuality of its silhouettes.
