- Spring 2003 ICONIC 'Irere' Collection, a rendition from the runway
- Jet black semi-sheer silk chiffon gown
- Asymmetrical open décolleté & tattered hemline
- Cascading ruffled georgette, assembled to echo the natural corroded form of the oyster shell.
- Carefully slips on with an adjustable fabric tie at the left shoulder.
- An extremely coveted rarity from the designer's acclaimed 'Irere' collection, inspired by 18th-century Amazonian piracy.
- Featured in numerous fashion editorials following its runway debut. Photographed by the likes of Peter Lindbergh and Craig McDean, among others. Most notably presented as a central feature of McQueen's retrospective 'Savage Beauty' exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art (2011).
