Description

- Vintage Six Magazine, No°3 - S/S 1989
- Publisher & Director: Comme des Garçons, Ltd.
- Editor: Atsuko Kozasu
- Art Director: Tsuguya Inoue, Beans Co., Ltd.
- A 120-page publication of avant-garde photography, art and literature that explores the idea of the 'Sixth Sense' and reflects the Spring 1989 collection through unconventional artistic methods
- Including original photographs of Naomi Campbell wearing Comme des Garçons by Peter Lindbergh & Max Vadukul, poetry entitled 'Frieze' from Luc Dietrich, and Richard Dumas' spread 'Somewhere in Azzedine Alaïa's Kitchen".
- Six Magazine was created in 1988 as a biannual publication by Comme des Garçons founder & designer Rei Kawakubo. It ran until 1991, coinciding with the launch of new collections as Kawakubo said "high fashion has to have a mystery about it. This is the next step: visual representation of the collection, purely for image.”

“I feel like I’m always moving forward. I don’t hold onto anything for nostalgic sentimentality. If it’s not circulating in my life, I still love it, but I can move on.”
